Putting the u back in wellnuss.*

*And celebrating all the imperfections that make us human.

We founded Prism to share stories of people's lived experiences of being human, in all its messy, funny, non-optimized glory. We cover physical, mental, and social health from deeply personal perspectives, and strive for honesty, compassion, and humor in our coverage.

Some things we believe

  • Your health is just that… yours. And everyone’s relationship to their health and wellness is deeply dependent on their unique identity and resources.

  • But “you do you” has limits. We hold some foundational core values that underpin our coverage.

  • Wellness transcends gender stereotypes. Everyone deserves to focus on a healthy life, not just the Goop acolytes.

  • Ultimately, your body (and mind) needs offline time. And our coverage supports that mission.

What we make

Prism Postcards is our newsletter on mental, physical, and social health that arrives in your inbox every other week with information, interviews, recommendations, tips, and more. Sign up!

Prism Parcels is a series that explores specific wellness topics through a dual lens of objective reporting and personal essays. We’ve made two so far, The Reset and The Meat Issue. You can read them both here.

Who we are

We're a small but mighty editorial team, and our publisher is Parallel, an LA-based company that invests in health and wellness-focused brands and content. Our sister company is Waypoint Entertainment, a production, development and financing company that has produced numerous award-winning films.

About our name

We chose Prism because we hope to bring a spectrum of viewpoints to the wellness conversation. Also, we like transparency. Rainbows are cool too. 🌈
